Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This page explains how to delete the data Haze Social Post holds about you. There are two routes: controls you can use yourself inside the app right now, and a full account deletion you request by email. Both are described below in enough detail to follow step by step.
If you connected a Meta account (Facebook, Instagram, or Threads) and want that connection and its data removed, see Delete data yourself for the immediate option, or Request full account deletion to remove everything.
1. Delete data yourself
These controls are available once you are signed in. They take effect immediately and do not require contacting us.
Disconnect a social account (removes your access tokens)
- Sign in and open your Dashboard.
- In Connections, find the connected platform — Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, or Google Business Profile.
- Select the remove (×) control next to it and confirm.
Disconnecting deletes the stored connection record for that platform, including the encrypted access and refresh tokens we hold for it. We immediately stop being able to read from or publish to that account. It also removes our records of posts published to that account, their collected analytics, and any bot conversations and contacts tied to it.
Delete posts
- Open the post from your dashboard or calendar.
- Select the delete (trash) control in the post window and confirm.
This removes the post from Haze Social Post along with its per-platform records and collected metrics. Note that deleting our record does not remove a post that has already gone live on a social platform — see Posts already published.
Delete uploaded media
Media you uploaded to your Library can be deleted from the Library, which removes the item and its underlying file from our storage. Collections can be deleted the same way.
Delete bots, content plans, and captured leads
Bot funnels, generated content plans, and YouTube Studio videos each have a delete control in their own section of the dashboard. Deleting a bot funnel also removes the conversations and contact records collected through it.
Turn off marketing email
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop marketing messages. This does not delete your account or your data.
2. Request full account deletion
Full account deletion is handled by email — there is no self-serve button for it. Use this route if you want your entire account removed, or if you can no longer sign in.
Email info@hazetechsolutions.com with the subject line Data deletion request.
Please include:
- The email address on your Haze Social Post account. Sending your request from that address is the fastest way for us to verify you.
- Whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data — for example, only your connected Meta accounts and the records of posts published through them.
We verify that a request comes from the account holder before deleting anything. If you write from a different address, we will reply to the address on the account to confirm. We do this so that someone else cannot delete your work.
We acknowledge every request within 5 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days. You do not need an active subscription to make a request, and we do not charge for it.
3. What gets deleted
When you request full account deletion, we permanently remove:
- Your account. Login credentials and profile — email, name, avatar — plus onboarding and notification records. After this you can no longer sign in.
- Connected platform tokens. The encrypted access and refresh tokens, account handles, and page or profile identifiers for every platform you connected, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, and Google Business Profile.
- Post records. Our log of every post published, scheduled, or attempted through Haze Social Post — captions, destination platforms, resulting post identifiers, timestamps, and any error details.
- Analytics data. Engagement metrics collected for your posts — views, reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares, and saves — and your AI usage records.
- Your content and media. Brand profile, brand kit, library images and videos, generated captions and renders, voice samples and the associated cloned-voice identifier, and the underlying files in our storage.
- Bot data. Bot funnels and their configuration, conversations and message history with your audience, contact records, and captured leads.
If you ask us to delete only your Meta data rather than your whole account, we remove the Meta connection tokens, the post records for anything sent to Meta platforms, the analytics collected for those posts, and the bot conversations and contacts from those accounts — and we leave the rest of your account intact.
4. What we keep, and why
A small amount of data survives account deletion, because we are required to keep it or because it is no longer linked to you:
- Billing and tax records. Invoices, payments, and refunds are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires — typically 7 years. These are held by our payment processor, Stripe, as well as by us.
- Security and audit logs. Records of administrative actions and security events, kept for up to 90 days and in a form that does not identify you where possible.
- Aggregated statistics. Counts and totals that can no longer be traced back to you.
- Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups age out. It is not restored to the live service.
5. Posts already published to other platforms
This is important. Deleting your Haze Social Post data does not remove posts that were already published to Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, or Google Business Profile. Once a post is live on one of those platforms, that platform holds its own copy and it is governed by that platform’s terms.
We delete our record of the post and its metrics. To remove the post itself, delete it in that platform’s own app, or use that platform’s data deletion process. If you want your Meta account’s data removed by Meta, you can also do that from your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
6. If you messaged a business using Haze Social Post
If you are not a customer of ours but sent a direct message or comment to a business whose bot runs on Haze Social Post, we may hold your platform user ID, the messages exchanged, and any contact details you provided to that bot.
To stop automated messages, reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or STOP ALL to any automated DM — we persist the opt-out and send nothing further unless you reply START or RESUME. To have your data deleted, email info@hazetechsolutions.com and tell us which business you contacted and on which platform, so we can locate your records.
7. Timeline
- Immediate. Self-serve deletions — disconnecting a platform, deleting a post, media item, or bot funnel — take effect as soon as you confirm them.
- Within 5 business days. We acknowledge your emailed request and confirm your identity if needed.
- Within 30 days. We complete verified deletion requests and email you to confirm.
If a request will take longer than 30 days for a reason outside our control, we will tell you before that window closes and explain why.
